One of the most well known hiking spot in Patagonia, Torres del Paine is one of the most beautiful part and yet I did not enjoy it as much. I think it could be because of how touristy it is. Walking on the trail feels like going to a festival rather than being in nature. it also didn't help that everything is fully booked for months from mountain huts and even the hostels in Puerto Natales! The way I travel, this place during high season is just not compatible with me. That said, there's no arguing that the mountain range here are one of the most iconic.
Im actually quite excited to come back here and revisit the trail during shoulder season instead of mid high season and see If I might enjoy it a bit more. The nature is still very very attractive despite the crowds.
