We are approaching the end of the Karakoram Highway. After 2 weeks of hitchhiking, sleeping on an overnight bus, and a few bumpy jeep rides, we have reached the frontier town of Sost, the last town before I reach the border on China. One of my life goals was always to traverse the entire Karakoram Highway, and being there, in Passu, Attabad lake and Khunjerab Pass, it felt pretty surreal to be looking at one of the most remote border crossings in the world.
Desolation and emptiness are the 2 words I would describe the Khunjerab Pass. They don't call it one of the most remote and highest border crossing in the world for nothing!
Now I can finally said, I have traveled the Karakoram Highway.
