Finally, I decided to take on my first bungee jump ever (!) and I chose Victoria Falls. It was AMAZING to say the least! The scenery was perfect, so even if I died that day, I would have died happy for sure. :)
How to Bungee Jump at Victoria Falls
In order to do a bungee jump at the bridge between the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, first you need to get a no man's land pass from the immigration at the border to allow access to this part of the Victoria Falls. Once you get through immigration, by the rail road and the beginning of the bridge (Zambian side), turn left and walk up a ladder. There you can register for the bungee. The normal price is around US$135. If you want photos from their cameras and their videos, you gotta pay extra (US$50!). The quality of photos are as you see on this page.
It was very expensive, but since it was my first and I was at Victoria Falls for crying out loud, I decided to shell out US$185 for the jump.
Seriously, there's nothing like it. On my first free fall, my instinct kicks in and I kept thinking that "I am not suppose to be doing this". I could imagine, what it feels like to jump off a building. You won't see anything much on your first free fall as you will be spinning like crazy and you will be partially deaf because of the sounds. It was scary nonetheless, but that is not the end. Following the first free fall comes the second, and the third and fourth and it was as scary as the first one. During this time you will feel a blood rush where all your blood went right down to your head. To tell you the truth, it was like my eyes were about to pop out any minute.
After you bounced in the air for a while, a guy will lower himself down from the bridge and tether himself to you, turn you right back up and direct you to the exit at the bottom of the bridge.
The feeling afterward was like lifting all the worries off your shoulders. I love this feeling, and it reminded me why I decided to do these kinda things in the first place.
If you have never try it, don't ever dismiss it.
